For Anna, music started as a tool for navigating the complex landscape of emotions, but in the secure venues of her hometown Cambridge, she began performing, upping the amount of available music-joy. Sometime between the late noughties and early teenies (a term that hasn't been formed yet- and interesting concept...), within the sprawling reach of her 4 gap years, she found herself living off and in accordance with music, and decided to become a musician. Since then she has completed an Ethnomusicology degree at SOAS and recorded an EP, formally consummating the union.

Anna Ling is a composer, multi-instrumentalist, choir leader and yoga and music teacher. An ethnomusicology graduate (2014, SOAS), she specialised in Bulgarian singing, and has started two choirs in London over 3 years. She teaches singing annually at Voice Camp, and has attended numerous Natural Voice Practitioners Network teacher trainings and events. During the past 12 years she has gratefully spent many a sleepless night consumed within the folds of song writing, and has written as many songs as there are beans in a can. Her recent EP is available to buy online.

She teaches singing and guitar one-on-one, using composition as a means of holistically exploring all aspects of music and has held a number of large-scale music education projects for children. She has also had Events Management training (2013) and has a Workshop Leadership qualification with the Open University (2014), and runs music events in London. She has been practicing yoga for 8 years and teaching for 5, completing a 200h Yoga Alliance Accredited Forrest Yoga Teachers Training (2014), running yoga classes in London and for festivals and events elsewhere. She currently lives in India, deepening her knowledge of yoga, and training in Classical Indian singing.
